We are happy to tell that Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche in May 2017 will continue the instructions of one of the very advanced and reputed cycles of Dzogchen practice, Dzogrim Bardo Druggi Thrijig, which belongs to ‘the hidden treasure’ – the Terma, called Karling Zhithro, also known as the peaceful and wrathful (deities). This was found in Tibet in the 14th century by the great treasure finder Tertön Karma LIngpa. This cycle contains the practice of completion for the six Bardos or intermediate states.
Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche has already been giving the instructions and transmission for the special ‘Nondro’, which is the traditional preparation for this practice, and the last years Rinpoche has been giving instructions on ‘The Bardo of this life’ (Tjenä Bardo), ‘The Bardo of dreams’ (Milam Bardo) and ‘The Bardo of Meditative concentration’ (Samten Bardo).
This year Rinpoche will continue with the next Bardos, we are not sure how far Rinpoche will reach this year, but Rinpoche will start teaching on ‘The Bardo of Dying’ (Tjikai Bardo), which contains the famous instruction on how to let the core of the mind leave the dying body, at the moment of dead. This is followed by ‘The luminous Bardo of Dharmata’ (Chönyid Bardo), which contains the instructions on how we meet, the time after dead, when our body and senses are not the same anymore, and we meet everything as pure visions, as ‘sound, light, and rays’, and in the form of the peaceful and wrathful manifestations. Finally comes ‘The Bardo of Becoming’ (Sridpa’i Bardo), which is dealing with the process towards a new birth, and the possibility to take birth in a pure dimension – a Buddhaland.
In addition, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche have, with great kindness and generosity, accepted our request of giving oral transmission to one of Longchenpas seven treasures. This is ‘Tsik Dön Dzö’ – ‘Precious treasure of the genuine meaning’. This will probably take place over the whole seminar, not on a single day.
