Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche is born on 25th November 1975, as son of Venerable Lama Thubten
Kalsang and Yongdu Wangmo, Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche was recognized by H.H. Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche as the 3rd reincarnation of Gegong Rokza Sonam Palge Rinpoche.

At the age of eight he became a monk in Dzogchen Monastery in Tibet where he learnt the basic art of reading and writing in Tibetan and embarked upon his monastic studies. In 1992, he joined the famous Orgyen Mindroling Monastery in Dehra-dun, India and was ordained a Getshul by H.E. Mindrolling Khenchen Rinpoche. He then entered Ngagyur Nyingma College, the university of Mindrolling Monastery from where he has now graduated, and during his nine years there he thoroughly studied and profoundly
contemplated the 13 Great Canonical Scriptures of the Nyingmapa School along with their ancillary texts and commentaries.

He received numerous Dharma teachings, empowerments and oral instructions from H.H. Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche, whom he revered as his root lama and tutelary deity. He also received teachings from eminent lamas such as H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Penor Rinpoche, Kyabje Taglung Tsetrul Rinpoche, Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche, Kyabje Dzogchen Pema Kalsang Rinpoche, Kyabje Khenchen Thubten Rinpoche, Kyabje Khenchen Petse Rinpoche, Kyabje Mindrolling Khenchen Rinpoche.
Among the teachings, initiations, and
oral instructions, there were those of the Kahma (Oral Lineage) and Terma (Spiritual Treasures), the Nyinthig Tsapo, the Dzodun (The Seven Treasures of Kunchen Longchen Rabjampa), the Ghuyagarbhatantra, and the Dam Ngnak Dzod. In short he has excelled in various fields of general Buddhist studies and, particularly, those of the Nyingmapa School, and has manifested all the wonderful qualities of a ‘Precious-One’.

During his vacations from college Rinpoche visited Europe for teaching by request of Dzogchen Center Belgium, and he visited different countries in Europe since 1999. These days Rinpoche is residing permanently in Finland and have also obtained Finish citicenship. Here he has founded and is the spiritual director of Danakosha Dharma Center, the mother dharma center of Rinpoche’s activity. Here he have lately build a very impessive Stupa. He frequently gives teachings to different levels of Buddhist practitioners and practices together with the Sangha. Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche have visited Denmark since
2002, and have been giving teachings, transmissions and empowerments every year since then and up to now.

His great generosity of teachings brings new wisdom of the path of enlightenment to people’s lives. His great knowledge, compassionate heart, dedicated nature and ability to guide beings are indeed very much appreciated. Rinpoche also travels to different places in Europe, Asia and USA for giving teachings in different dharma centers.
